My name is Ms. Morris. I’m a student-teacher at Texas State University, which basically means I’m in training to become a teacher of English and Creative Writing. I’ll be student-teaching your class this semester — learning about teaching by assisting your teacher, leading lessons of my own, and most of all, interacting with YOU! I love people — especially young people — almost as much as I love reading and writing (ha), so I couldn’t be more excited about the reading, writing and learning we’re going to do together.
Please click on “About Me” to learn a little more about my background, hobbies and interests.
If you’re curious about what my dream class looks like — my ideal teaching and learning community — click on “Class Info.” You’ll find information about the texts we would read together and the assignments you’d complete.
If you’d like to check out my dream classroom library — the books I’d like to have available in class for any student to read (yes, for extra credit, if you wrote a thoughtful response to the text!) — please click on “Library.”
And click on “News / Updates” frequently to keep up with any announcements I might post.
Thanks for visiting my site. I can’t wait to see you in class!
Best,
Ms. Morris
